Hi, I’m June, and if you’re a bit curious, this page is about me!

One of the most fulfilling parts of my job as an Architectural Technologist is helping people create their perfect home. Whether it’s a large or small space, I love working with all types and shapes of homes to help make them come alive in ways they never thought possible!

I use my expertise, experience, and Martin’s endless practical knowledge to provide invaluable advice and guidance throughout each project.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

I grew into my profession.  I loved school, but all for the wrong reasons.  For me, the school was a somewhere to socialize, so as you can imagine, I didn’t do great in the exams!  My parents were quite impressed my first job was working in an office!

I married Martin, whom I met at school (of course), and we had two kids.  We bought a house with enough space at the side for Martin to build another bedroom and a garage. It continued from there; every time we moved, we would build bigger.  Ten years later, I was getting quite obsessed and wanted to do more than just read building magazines and watch TV shows such as Grand Designs, so I went to university as a ‘mature’ student; who are they kidding?   Surprisingly, I did very well, and maybe if I had bothered at school, I could have made it easier.

I started working as a Freelancer at the same time as building our first own Grand Design, and I built up my skills and experience, but I couldn’t seem to grow the business to more than just part-time. I felt a change was needed, so I remarketed by changing the company name; it was an overnight success (or maybe just luck), but I could continue growing the business since then. We’re Okay and still here because of great little company and good luck because, just like you and our clients, we live through the global ups and downs of the economy and pandemics!
